The majority of the file size comes from images and animations, which can be quite large.

Is there an unofficial Mac version available for download?

An unofficial Mac version has been compiled and uploaded to MEGA. It works fine up until sandbox mode, but it may crash as the creator hasn't had a chance to test it thoroughly.
