To resolve the issue, go to the game's user files located at 'C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\Cape Vavilos' (AppData is hidden) and create a folder named 'mods'. This should fix the crash. Alternatively, wait for a hotfix that addresses this and other problems.

Workaround: Creating a 'mods' folder in the user data directory may fix the issue; alternatively, downloading a hotfixed version from provided links can resolve crashes.
