No, this issue has been fixed and duplicates will not appear in future versions.

The developer is considering options such as making cards overlap (which may look bad), completely hiding the opponent’s hand, increasing the size of rows in the battle zone by not showing the top row of the opponent’s hand, and potentially hiding the player's hand to make space for larger card sizes.
