Who do I talk to about flowers?

Talk to the fairy in your room. Her sister mentions getting flowers during the evening and opens a path to the forest.

Why doesn't my stat page show any changes after doing Stat increase activities?

It may not be a bug; ensure you are completing the activities correctly and checking back at appropriate intervals as skill increases might take time to reflect on your stat page.
