How is payment structured for workers?
Workers are paid per order rather than a fixed wage and schedule. They earn money the moment another NPC buys something from them, such as $12 when an NPC buys a $10 meal.
What drives NPCs besides money?
NPCs need to eat to restore energy (+30 E) or they will die. They sleep 8 hours each night and can be influenced to stay up and help you during the day.
