Sanguis Ex Hero FAQ
Are there repeatable sex scenes with servants?
Players have suggested adding repeatable sex scenes with servants as it would allow differentiation between them and provide more content. However, the current implementation does not support this feature.
Can you choose to kill thralls after making them yours?
Some players would like the option to choose whether to keep or kill a servant (thrall) after initial encounters, but this functionality is not currently available in the game.
What bugs are present in the game?
Several bugs have been reported including incorrect variable display names on the souls screen and inconsistencies with pronouns for futanari player characters. Additionally, training actions incorrectly state they provide 5 XP but actually increase it by 10.
Is there an inventory system?
Players have suggested implementing an inventory where weapons and items can be equipped rather than carrying everything at once. This would improve gameplay experience especially considering the shiv is a downgrade from the kitchen knife.
How do you exit the status window?
Exiting the status window back to the main menu does not seem to have an option except through the debug button, which may not function properly during combat.
Where can I find prices for perks in the perk shop?
The perk shop currently does not list prices or specify how to obtain currency (likely gained from blood past your cap).
How do you progress days in the game?
Days progress automatically as you complete actions such as interacting with NPCs, training, and engaging in activities. A new save is recommended for optimal experience.
How do I report a version change of the game?
Click on the 'report' button located at the bottom left corner and select 'Game update'.
What is the cost to add new images for updates in the game?
Each image costs around $60, with 51 existing images needing changes costing a minimum of $3060. Additional monthly updates could require at least $360 more per month.
When does battle start in the game?
Battle starts on day 20 of gameplay.
How do I unlock servants and progress early in the game?
Unlock all girls as servants, avoid feeding on them but sleep with them for blood. This provides more blood than hunting rats and allows fighting on hunts without drinking to gain money or weapons. Train stats and mutations within a limited time frame before the boss fight.
What happens after defeating the first boss?
There is no additional story content after the first boss, only two new mobs that spawn. Grinding can continue but there isn't much reason to keep playing unless you want to one-shot a hunter with a shotgun.
Why doesn't the menu appear on some emulators?
The menu does not appear if using the Joiplay emulator in Android.
Does reducing enemy AC with stun charges make it easier to hit them?
Yes, reducing enemy AC with stun charges makes it easier for you to hit them.
What does the stealth mutation allow you to do in the Salazar fight?
The stealth mutation allows you to skip all the horde fight during the Salazar fight.
What is the Red Bullet Soul and what ability does it grant?
The Red Bullet Soul grants the vampire the blood art 'Infinite shining of the vermillion horizon', which for a brief period adds +999 to your AC at the cost of 5 blood, usable once per battle.
Will there be more souls from bosses?
Yes, one additional soul will come from a boss, but only two bosses are planned so far and the last one ends the game.
Is future content dependent on the game's performance?
The size of future updates depends on the game's performance. If numbers do not improve, some content may be cut.
Can I turn off drinking blood mechanics?
Yes, you can disable drinking blood mechanics. You can re-enable it using the debug menu if desired.
Why can't I evolve into a martyr after drinking blood?
There may be an issue with evolving into a martyr after drinking blood. Some players have reported being able to evolve without problems after testing, but the specific reason for this issue is not clear.
What should I do if I encounter combat errors when punching?
If you experience combat errors while punching, try downloading a fix file (likely an HTML file) from another player who reported success with it. Ensure the downloaded file is correctly recognized as an HTML file.
Sanguis Ex Hero Walkthrough
Character Customization
The futanari base character model is highly praised for its smug dominance, making it a standout choice.
Game Updates and Timeline
Consider implementing repeatable sex scenes as a feature, especially if the game includes a pregnancy-to-birth cycle.
Grammar and Language
Avoid using 'ex' as a prefix in formal or fantasy settings unless it refers to a former romantic partner. Use 'ex heroe' or 'heroibus' for plural forms instead.
Technical Fixes
A <<if>> error after losing a fight was fixed by correcting an incorrect comparison operator (=< should be <=).
Progression and Saves
To progress days in the game, check if a new save is required or if existing saves allow for day progression.
Gameplay Mechanics
There is an option on the main hub to 'search for the serial killer'. This can help decompress the game.

To progress, you should unlock all girls as servants early in the game. Sleeping with them provides more blood than hunting rats and helps in unlocking mutations.
Combat and Strategy
When fighting the boss, focus on poisoning him from the start to make the fight easier.
Save at the beginning of the boss fight to reload if you don't get a lucky knife hit initially.
Be mindful of your chosen martial arts system as it will affect the scaling of specific moves and mutations. For instance, unarmed combat enhances basic punches and melee mutations.
Consider the impact on playstyles like crowd control (CC) and unarmed builds in endgame scenarios.
Progression Tips
Early in the game, prioritize upgrading your character's physical stats and obtaining weapons through non-lethal combat.
Eat hobo souls to boost health points and prepare for endgame mutations.
Exploration and Worldbuilding
Consider adding an 'walk the streets' activity option where players can meet random denizens, learn lore, find new locations, and experience random events.
Feedback on Updates
The sewer update introduces new hunting zones and mutations, enhancing gameplay.
Girls having interesting souls could be addressed with side quests that offer alternative ways to gain strength without killing them.
Appreciate that difficulty scaling has been improved for a better endgame experience, catering to various playstyles.
Inquire about the notes for specific version updates (e.g., 0.10.0) and suggest developers can openly share information without needing to hide it.
Technical Notes
Avoid dropping your blood pool below 3 to prevent game overs.
Story and Character Development
Consider making certain mutations or evolutions allow unique story solutions, such as using a chitin exoskeleton to tank an arrow or silky shoots to prevent falls.
Implementing specific soul abilities like precognition for Red Bullet could enhance narrative depth by providing strategic advantages in combat scenarios.
User Interface and Experience
Improve the 'Bleed' and stats explanation pages with a dedicated return button or modal window to avoid disrupting navigation flow.
Ensure consistency in dialogue bubbles, keeping them for actual conversations rather than mixing in narrative descriptions.
Pregnancy Mechanics
Consider adding unique story elements or benefits related to children born from the player's character, such as personality traits that affect relationships and gameplay.
Implement a system where having multiple children provides advantages but also introduces management challenges like upkeep costs.
