Copy the missing _transparent_tile.png file from another installation of the same game, specifically from the /renpy/common directory. This issue occurs because the original file was converted to webp and is not recognized by the game engine.
1. Double-click the game executable. 2. Immediately hold down the Shift key until the game starts. 3. You should see a debug screen where you can switch to 'Force Angle Renderer'. 4. Click the 'Quit' link at the bottom left of the screen. 5. Try starting the game again without holding the Shift key.
Old saves from the initial release are not compatible with newer versions, so you need to start a new game.
Workaround: Copy _transparent_tile.png from another game to /renpy/common.
