What are the general mechanics of the game?

The goal in each room is to find and pass through the exit door. Some rooms have locked doors that require keys, which can be found within the room. Tunnels instantly transport you to another location, while barred tunnels allow entry but do not transport you elsewhere. Closets serve as hiding spaces but are worse than barred tunnels due to nymphs and spiders. The lantern can be toggled with 'F' and consumes fuel; it speeds up E prompts when active.

How does stamina work?

Stamina is used for sprinting, indicated by two dots next to the bar which fill if you run out of stamina. Running out of stamina while both dots are full will cause you to 'stumble' and fall over.

How does health work?

You start with three hearts. Each encounter with enemies corrupts one heart, leading to a loss if all hearts are corrupted. Pressing F2 also reduces health, while pressing L restores it but may have debug effects on UI and lighting.

What is the chase behavior of enemies?

Enemies like spiders, slimes, and nymphs will follow you in a straight line if they see you. They can enter closets or barred tunnels to search for you. Regular tunnels warn about enemy passage on the other side.

How do you handle Tanuki?

Tanuki disguises as branches and tries to grab you upon picking it up. You can tell them apart from regular branches because they don't sparkle. Dodging the grab is sufficient, and they do not chase after grabbing.

How do you deal with Slime enemies?

Slimes stick on ceilings and drop to chase when you get near. They shiver before dropping, so turn off your lantern and wait for them to stop shivering. Then turn the lantern back on to flash it and stun the slime.

What is the Rifter enemy like?

The lights blink and a sound approaches when a Rifter comes. It charges down the main path, so either hide or get off the main path to avoid it.

How do you handle Nymph enemies?

Nymphs appear after hiding in closets for too long. They will open the closet and catch you if they find you there. If you leave before they enter, they will chase with standard behavior.

What is the purpose of Room 50?

Room 50 marks the end of the demo for story mode. It features Auntie Sophie who can cleanse corruption and restore health through a sexual interaction. She also provides tips on every monster listed in the game.

Why is Taiyo available on DLsite?

Taiyo was moved to DLsite late December for extra revenue, as Steam has been unreliable for adult games under development. The itch.io version is inferior and lacks some enemies compared to the full version provided here.

Are there plans to release Taiyo on Steam?

Taiyo will eventually be available on Steam, but it's not planned just yet due to stability issues for adult games in early access on Steam.

What are the new additions in the forest area?

The forest area includes 25 stages with two new enemies: Alpha Tanuki and Moth. New puzzles involve lowering bridges via cranks and activating circuit breakers to turn lamps on. The forest can also appear in endless mode.

Avoiding Enemies

• Use your lantern to flash slimes, causing them to shake and become dazed, allowing you to pass safely.
• Stay still when bats fly over you; avoid moving or switching the lantern to remain undetected by bats.
• To dodge lizards, start dropping (hold E) at precisely the moment they begin descending from the ceiling. Timing is crucial as any delay can result in being hit by a smoke bomb.
