Town's Charm FAQ

Why won't the game open?

Try running the game using the .console file and send a screenshot if it still doesn’t open. Also, ensure that the .exe is extracted from the folder and located in the correct game directory. Try launching as an administrator.

Where can I find my old save files?

Locating the old save file location to continue your progress can be quite challenging.

Is there a plan to compile a Linux version of the game?

The developer is using Godot as the engine, but no specific mention was made about compiling for Linux.

Why are some features like the wardrobe only available for supporters?

Features such as the wardrobe are restricted to supporters currently and will be added gradually as the story progresses. The developer uses these features for testing purposes.

How can I advance time in the game without encountering bugs when using the bed?

To advance time, keep going to sleep until a character appears on the top floor to the left of the steps in the morning. The developer hopes to implement a proper schedule shown in-game for future updates.

Are there plans to add dialog logs or a happy harem ending?

There are no current plans for dialog logs, but the dialogue and event system will be reworked eventually. A happy harem ending is planned.

What is causing the game to freeze during certain interactions?

A bug occurs when pressing the interaction button too quickly during a conversation, which may force users to use Alt+F4 to exit. The developer suggests sharing more context if this issue persists in versions 0.5.2c or later.

Why are keyboard inputs being removed?

Keyboard inputs were originally intended but changed to mouse buttons due to the complexity of coding UI navigation and undefined UI behavior/design. Keyboard inputs will be removed for the next update to avoid confusion.

Progression Issues

Soft locks may occur if you try to progress time of day using saves; avoid this by clicking the bed instead.
If Clare is not available and rooms are inaccessible, wait until morning and do not interact with her. Continue sleeping until she appears in the top floor, left of the steps.
